Fernando de Aragón
Fernando de Aragón has served as director of the Ithaca-Tompkins County Transportation Council for the last seventeen years. There, he has focused on efforts to preserve current infrastructure investments, while providing support for expanded services that provide alternatives to single occupancy vehicle use, including car sharing, ride sharing, multi-use trails, bike/ped facilities and expanded transit. Previously he was a senior planner for the MPO and the county planning department in Palm Beach County, Florida. Fernando holds a bachelors degree in natural resources management and a masters in city and regional planning from Rutgers University, and a Ph.D. in energy management and policy from the University of Pennsylvania. Fernando is also active in several community organizations.
