What Podcar City and Students For Future Mobility is all about
what we do and why we do it
The current paradigm of mass mobility presents significant challenges. Incremental technological improvements notwithstanding, existing transportation solutions place considerable strain on both human populations and environmental resources. There is currently no road-based individual or shared mobility system that completely avoids congestion or eliminates complexities in urban planning.
The Podcar City initiative is founded on a straightforward premise: evaluating whether we can achieve more effective solutions using current technologies. By reimagining mass mobility from the ground up, the project seeks to develop systems that are inclusive, accessible, safe, efficient, comfortable, and scalable.
Podcar City facilitates the exchange of ideas and research through endeavors such as SFFM, as well as seminars and conferences covering topics including urban planning, vehicle design, safety considerations, and resource management. Participation is open to all, regardless of background or level of involvement—whether individuals wish to actively contribute, observe, disseminate findings, provide financial support, or offer specialized expertise. All contributions are assessed for their potential impact and suitability for intellectual property protection.
We do this for the future generations as it is the young who own the future.
