Just like the development in the car world, we are developing a list of levels of Podcar development stages. We are working on 5 distinct stages from experimental small systems to nationwide infrastructure servicing the majority of people’s mobility needs including goods.
We are emulating the same concept as for self driving cars. However, our levels are following a much stricter rules of engagements and research. Our concept is about the core values – Link
Level 0 – Automation on its own track
- Level 0 – An automated system on its own track
- Level 1 – Mature for a small (<12 off line stations) system
- Level 2 – Mature for a local medium sized (-50 off line stations) system
- Level 3 – City wide system servicing at least 50% of the city population
- Level 4 – Regional wide system servicing at least 75% of the regional population
- Level 5- Same as level 4, only using renewable energy and cost trip less than $1 (2025 value)
