The Solar skyway project is a long-term, international research initiative to design, develop and eventually implement solar powered automated rapid transit elevated network systems adaptable to different environments.
By far the longest-running student program in Solar Skyways is found in Silicon Valley at San Jose State University. Creating a new, cost-effective transportation grade above existing road infrastructure for automated pods dramatically reduces transportation costs while improving efficiency, safety, reliability, and passenger comfort. This solar-powered system is a fully automated, elevated personal rapid transit network. If interested in this Podcar City supported system, participation is available at SJSU or through new program creation.. Read more here: Link
