Vishakha Maskey is Post Doctoral Fellow, at West Virginia University. She has a Ph.D in Natural Resources and a M.S. in Ecology andenvironmental sciences in University of Maine (2001) together with a M.S. in Botany from Nepal, 1997. Her research interests are Applied natural resource and environmental economics, and relevant policy issues.Specific applications are: non-market valuation of environmental goods, integrating ecology, spatial analysis, and economics in resource management.
She has recieved several awards, among them Third Annual Thomas F. Torries Outstanding Doctoral Research Paper Competition Award, May 2007 andAmerican Association of University Women (AAUW) International Fellowship Award, 1999-2000
